This tutorial will show you how to make a simple forum signature.
Difficulty: moderate/intermediate
Final Outcome:

First take out a nice stock and paste it into your sig.
Blur some parts if nessesary. (in my case it was).
Take the same stock again, but this time in full size. Find a
good spot, then set it to lighten. Erase some parts of it.
To reduse the colors some, make a black and white graditen
map and lower the opacity to around 25%.
Make a new layer and apply image. Then take out the smudge
tool and start smudging in places. Smudge at 100% strength.
To add some more colorfull things. Take the stock again at full
size and paste in into your sig. Set it to lighten. Then hit ctrl+u
and change the hue to some good colors. Erase parts of this
layer.
Do the same thing again.
Add a light source by brushing with a 100px soft white brush.
Add a colorbalance layer.
To add some more colorfull things. Take the stock again at full
size and paste in into your sig. Set it to lighten. Then hit ctrl+u
and change the hue to some good colors. Erase parts of this
layer.
Change the contrast some.
Brush with a 100px soft round black brush and the corners.
Lower the opacity.
Make a new layer and apply image. Smudge some parts of
the sig.
Make a new layer and apply image. Then shapen it in some
places. (filter - sharpen - sharpen).
Then make a new layer and apply image. Then take the blur
tool and blur in some places.
Again make a new layer and apply image. The go to filter - blur
- gausian blur. Set it to lighten and lower the opacity.
To add some more colorfull things. Take the stock again at full
size and paste in into your sig. Set it to lighten. Then hit ctrl+u
and change the hue to some good colors. Erase parts of this
layer.
Add some colorbalance layers and gradient maps of your choice.
Make a new layer and apply image, then take the blur tool
and blur it in places.
Again a new layer and apply image. Smudge some nessesary
parts.
To add some more colorfull things. Take the stock again at full
size and paste in into your sig. Set it to lighten. Then hit ctrl+u
and change the hue to some good colors. Erase parts of this
layer.
Make some final adjustments and you're done!
