In this tutorial we will be learning how to create a brush set, in Photoshop.

step 1


We will be making a set of dew drops brush. I opened this image in Photoshop. The first step is to duplicate the background layer. Right click on the background layer and select duplicate layer option.

The next step is to apply threshold effect to the duplicate layer (background copy). Go to image >> adjustment >> threshold

In the threshold dialogue box select a threshold level that displays the texture of your picture clearly. I settled for 125. But u can increase or decrease the level as per your need.

After applying the threshold effect, next we blur this layer. Go to filter >> blur >> Gaussian blur and in the Gaussian blur dialogue box put the radius as 3.

Now we unhide the background copy layer. Click on the eye icon on the left of the layer pallet to hide that layer.
